Kiko's House, like zillions of other American households, is in thrall to the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament at the moment, although if past years are any indication, I'll be sick of the whole thing by the time the championship game is played on April 2 unless either of my two teams is still alive -- North Carolina and Villanova.
Conspicuous in their absence from the tournament again this year is Princeton, the once mighty Ivy League David that took on numerous Goliaths in the post-season in the 1980s and early 1990s and sometimes beat them. Most notable was the Tigers' first-round upset of defending national champ UCLA 10 years ago.
The key this success was Pete Carril's Princeton Offense, which as Slate's Richard Just notes, has spread far and wide as Princeton's fortunes have faded.
