Science Saturday I: The Tall and Short of It

Am I the only one who thinks that there are some pretty weird scientific studies going on out there?

Apparently not, because the Washington Post this week cited a Scottish study in that context that found taller women are more ambitious career-wise and less inclined to start a family.

The study was launched as a follow-up to a previous study that concluded taller women had fewer children because they had a harder time finding mates. The new study would appear to disprove that theory. Instead, the new study's authors suggest, taller women are likely to have more testosterone, which gives them more male-like traits such as being assertive, competitive and ambitious.

The Scotsman
has the details here.
