What A Difference A Month Makes

Recovery.gov is a new web site that promises to track how funds from the $787 billion American Recovery and Reinvestment Act will be used, as well as how many jobs will be created or saved in each state over the next two years.

On March 3, federal agencies will begin reporting funds use, on May 3 allocations to entitlement programs will be reported, on May 20 competitive grants and contracts will be reported, and on July 15, recipients are to start explaining how they are using your money and mine.

If this seems too good to be true, then it probably is. But can you imagine the Bush administration doing anything remotely like this?
