The Stories of Lakhdar, Laura & Euna . . .

. . . are sadly similar.

Lakhdar is Lakhdar Boumediene, who was flown to Paris from Guantánamo Bay last month after seven and a half years in U.S. detention without evidence that he was a terrorist, let alone due process or a trial.

Laura and Euna are Laura King and Euna Lee, American journalists who were sentenced to 12 years hard labor after being convicted of illegally entering North Korea and engaging in "hostile acts."

The only difference between the two cases as far as I can tell is that North Korea actually conducted a trial.
